Land Yacht Pictures.

++The picture on the left is the glorious view of the lake bed as you crest the hill coming from Fields. Some of the crew has already set up camp. The picture on the right is of the two yachts I brought with me. Both have been modified since the last trip. The large yacht has been fitted with a sail boat mast and boom and the one on its side has a new mast support system using a stayed fore mast that the wind surfer mast is lashed to. Performance on this yacht was dramaticaly improved.

+++ Left is Rich Crnichs' new fast yacht. With its low drag and high performance wing mast it logged a speed of 87.6 mph. I took it out for a test drive and it gets up to scary fast speeds so quick. The middle picture is Mike Easons' Fed 5. Mike reached 75 mph on this rig using a storm sail rather than the regular one shown here. Jason Clack cart wheeled this yacht going some where around 50 mph. It bent the mast a little and destroyed the front wheel and scared hell out of Jason but he emerged without any serious damage. The Fed 5 has since been restored and was sailing great over the July 4th holiday. The right picture is of Stewart Solbergs' Yacht. It has a bench seat that can accomadate either one or two people. Stewart does our sail modifications that convert a windsurf sail to fit a more rigid mast than those used by windsurfers.
